Radiation Oncology Nurse Kathleen Solari Receives National Award at ONS 44th Annual Congress
Kathleen Solari, RN, BSN, OCN, Radiation Oncology Nurse Manager at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center – Washington Township, received a national honor on Thursday, April 11th, at the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) 44th Annual Congress in Anaheim, CA.
Before thousands of her nursing peers, Kathleen, a 27-year associate of Jefferson Health New Jersey, received ONS’ Excellence in Radiation Therapy Nursing Award for 2019. The award is granted to an ONS member who has been nominated by a fellow member and who meets specific professional criteria.
“Kathleen is a true success story on many levels: as a professional, as a wife, mother and grandmother,” said President Joe Devine. “She is a true role model for our patients, other nurses, as well as clinical professionals throughout our health system; her dedication and commitment to excellence is unfailing.”
Kathleen also recently received a surprise certificate of commendation from the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders in honor of this national recognition.
